Geraint Rowe, Partner, Gambit Corporate Finance
Geraint joined Gambit in 1999. During his career, Geraint has been involved in a significant number of transactions including management buy-outs, development capital, fundraising, rights issues, acquisitions, start-ups and restructuring assignments and has a particular focus in private equity and venture capital. He acts for a number of institutional investors in relation to their portfolio work and his sector experience includes leisure, financial services, media, food and consumer goods and support services.
Geraint graduated with a first class honours degree in Zoology from the University of Bristol in 1993. He commenced his career with KPMG and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1996 when he came 10th in the ICAEW exams and was placed in the ICAEW United Kingdom National Order of Merit. In 1996, Geraint joined KPMG Corporate Finance and passed the Securities Institute Corporate Finance Examination in 1997 and was awarded the ICAEW Corporate Finance Diploma in 2007.
Geraint was voted Insider Magazine's 'Dealmaker of the Year' in 2005 and 'Corporate Finance Advisor of the Year' in 2008.
Geraint holds certain board positions, including Astutis Limited, a health and safety training provider, and Moorhouse Group, a financial services intermediary. He is also a Board Member of Gambit's global network, Corporate Finance International.
