Gambit Corporate Finance has received Insider Magazine’s ‘Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year’ award for 2019. It is the fourth consecutive year that the firm has received the award.
The award recognises the significant performance of the firm in the 12 months to 30 June 2019. The firm acted as lead financial advisor on 11 transactions during the year to 30 June 2019, with a total deal value of around £200 million. Transactions included a range of sale, acquisition and fundraising assignments.
Notable transaction highlights included sourcing the buyer, negotiating and managing the £63m sale of Orangebox Group Limited to NYSE listed Steelcase Inc; the World’s largest office furniture company. This was the largest corporate deal of the year in Wales. The firm also acted as lead advisor to Ultrapharm Limited on its sale to Finsbury Food Group Plc for an EBITDA multiple exceeding 13 times.
The transactions during the period highlight Gambit’s extensive experience on cross-border transactions, which represent some 40% of the firm’s fee income. As the exclusive UK shareholder of Corporate Finance International (www.thecfigroup.com), Gambit’s ability to identify and reach international corporates and private equity groups in all major economies enables the firm’s clients to benefit from this extensive global reach.
Geraint Rowe, Partner said, “We are delighted to receive the Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year award for the fourth consecutive year. The award is reflective of the team’s talent and consistent and determined approach to maximising value for its clients. Despite current political and macroeconomic uncertainties, the firm continues to expand, both in terms of transaction volume and headcount, and we are optimistic for the next twelve months and beyond.”
