Gambit Corporate Finance acts as lead advisor on the multi-million pound sale of Cwmtillery Glass Centre

Cwmtillery Glass Centre (CGC), one of the UK’s largest independent manufacturers of insulated glass units and toughened glass has been sold in a multi-million pound transaction.

Led by husband & wife duo, Paul and Cerianne Hayward, CGC has built a “best in class” market-leading reputation for exceptional quality of product and customer service, underpinned by serial investments in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment and long-standing relationships with blue-chip suppliers including Pilkington and Guardian.

The business was founded by Managing Director, Paul Hayward in 1996 with just a single cutting table, and has since evolved into a £15m+ revenue company, employing some 120 staff and operating from a 100,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility in South Wales.

Supplying the trade, domestic, commercial and new build sectors CGC produces over 21,000 sealed units per week and has consistently enjoyed year-on-year growth.

Gambit Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of CGC on initiating, negotiating and structuring the transaction. The Gambit team comprised Frank Holmes (Partner), Simon Marsden (Director) and Nick Gallagher (Executive).

Simon Marsden, Director commented:

“Over the last 25 years, Paul, Cerianne and the CGC team have built an exemplary business which has consistently delivered exceptional quality for its customers.
