Gambit Corporate Finance LLP has acted for Greenwoods Group on the disposal of the business and assets of its Greenwoods Communications and Rail Order businesses for undisclosed sums.
Greenwoods Communications, established in 1989, provides fixed and wireless telecoms infrastructure services and equipment to the major UK network and mobile operators such as BT, Huawei, Vodafone, O2, Ericsson and Virgin Media. The company is based in Coleshill, Birmingham and employs around 270 people.
Rail Order is a provider of specialist safety and non-safety critical spares, equipment, refurbished parts, consumables and services to the UK rail sector. The business is based in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire.
Gambit worked with the Greenwoods Group over a concentrated time period to carry out an extensive marketing exercise for both businesses which included both strategic and financial buyers, from the UK and overseas. Details of the ultimate buyers for the businesses are not able to be disclosed at this stage as terms of the deals still remain confidential.
Commenting on the disposals Adrian Jones, Partner at Gambit, said, “The work we have carried out for Greenwoods once again highlights our extensive disposal credentials through our ability to source both strategic and financial buyers through our contact network and deliver a transaction under very tight timeframes. There were a number of commercial and logistical challenges through the process but our rigorous approach overcame these to deliver a result which met the objectives of the respective stakeholders.”
The Gambit team was Adrian Jones, Simon Marsden and Matthew Wood.
