Frank’s notable transactions include:

  • Lead advisor to Bluestone Resorts, sourcing the initial £110 million of construction funding, further development capital of £50 million and arranging an £85 million leveraged buyout from institutions.
  • £110 million management buy-out of Newport Wafer Fab, Wales’ largest MBO at that time.
  • £30 million sale of Swansea based Wheelies and Tredz, the UK’s 5th largest retailer and insurer of bicycles and accessories, to Halfords Plc.

Frank has served as a non-executive director to numerous established companies and is a Governor of Cardiff Metropolitan University and The Cathedral School, Cardiff. He was also appointed the first Chair of the Cardiff Capital Region Economic Growth Partnership in November 2017.

Frank Holmes said, “It is a privilege to receive this award, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Andrew Probert, former Finance Director of Admiral Plc.
