Double Dealmaker Award for Gambit

Gambit celebrated achieving Deal of the Year 2013 at the Midlands Dealmakers Awards for the management buy-out of Acenta Steel from Endless completed earlier this year.  Adrian Jones, Partner, has now had deals shortlisted for Deal of the Year in three of the last five years at the Midlands Dealmakers Awards.  These were the sale of Tyrrells Potato Chips to Langholm Capital, the management buyout of Niagara Lasalle then re-branded as Acenta Steel, and the 2013 Deal of the Year, the secondary buyout of Acenta Steel.

Adrian Jones, who led the Acenta Steel management buy-out stated, “it is always nice to see recognition from our peers of the deals we deliver, but at the end of the day it is testament to our clients and the fantastic businesses they run that makes our work that little bit easier”.

On the same evening Frank Holmes, founder partner of Gambit’s Cardiff office, won the coveted Dealmaker of the Year Award at Insider's Wales Dealmakers Awards 2013, the first individual to be awarded the accolade for the second time running. Holmes caught the judges' eyes with his work, in particular the management buyout of Bluestone Resorts.

Frank Holmes commented, “I am honoured to receive the award for a second time which confirms our team’s tenacity and hard work ethic.”
