Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme Extended

The Prime Minister has announced an extension to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS), which was set to be replaced by the Job Support Scheme (JSS) on 1 November 2020.

The CJRS will remain open until December 2020.

The level of support available will return to August levels, with the Government paying 80% of wages up to a cap of £2,500 and employers paying National Insurance and pension contributions.
