Two awards were made last night highlighting excellence in accountancy in South Wales.
The award for best chartered accountant in practice went to Frank Holmes, partner with Cardiff-based Gambit Corporate Finance.
Mr Holmes qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross (now Deloitte), where he specialised in corporate recovery and corporate finance.
Mr Holmes joined Gambit in the autumn of 1995, where he has led transactions ranging between £2m and £120m including management buy-outs, acquisitions and disposals.
The award for best chartered accountant in business went to Mark Fenwick, the group finance director of Cardiff-based independent television group Boomerang Plus.
Mr Fenwick played a pivotal role in the flotation of the company on London's Alternative Investment Market last year.
